Things to read between sessions
Two short guides I send to most new clients, and a back catalog of quarterly essays on management work.

The Clarity Sprint
A short PDF, 22 pages, on getting unstuck when the fork in the road is in front of you and the inside of your head has been arguing with itself for three weeks. Three exercises and a checklist; designed to be done in an afternoon. Sent to roughly 4,000 readers and used to onboard most new 1:1 clients.

The Feedback Loop
A short PDF, 18 pages, on giving and asking for the kind of feedback that actually changes how people work. Includes the SBI structure (because it’s still useful), and the three common ways people sabotage themselves trying to be “nice.” For managers running 1:1s; equally useful for senior ICs reverse-managing a difficult relationship.

Quarterly essays
Four essays a year on what I’m noticing across the practice — typically 1,500–2,500 words, sent to anyone who has asked to be on the list. Recent topics: “The deferred 1:1 problem” (March 2026), “Why you keep promoting the wrong person to manager” (December 2025), “What I got wrong about runway anxiety” (September 2025). Email me to subscribe; no sales sequence, no upsell, no AI-generated boilerplate.
